Chapter 12

      Burger pt.3

Last Episode:
                      Zero went to get a job to support the family fundings.He was attacked by mutants created by Cortex in the road to town for the job,he was aided by Jeff and Dingo in the process of defeating the mutants.He encountered his manager with a attitude problem.But he succeeded in satisfying the manager and earns a lot of cash.Aside form that Crash and the gang are searching for missing townspeople.Crash  was missing from home,and after that Zero found where they process the mutants...right in the kitchen.

                      We left off where Zero was cornered by his manager.Zero prepares his battle stance.Manager:"Oh,please,you're...beneath me."Suddenly there was a rip on the ceiling and on the floor.It looked like a portal.Zero was confused that why would he put it behind him.When he looked back,he saw his manager pointing some sort of large fork-shaped weapon at him.Zero:"Oh,no!"The manager shot an energy ball towards Zero and blew him into the time & space rift behind him.Zero fell into the rift on the floor and came through the portal opened on the ceiling,and then kept falling to the hole on the floor repeatedly.Zero was building up speed through the endless fall through the two time and space rifts.Until finally the manager waves his arm and the portals closed when Zero fell through the portal on the ceiling.And as a result he crashes on the floor like a meteorite.It generated a huge shock wave that shook the entire street.Zero lies unconscious on the floor.Manager:"We don't need you anymore."He throws off his chef disguise and reveals his true identity-N.Trophy.He threw Zero into the freezer and typed something at the control panel.The mutants started breaking free from the pods.Using some kind of control,Trophy made all the mutants obey his every commands.And then he opened up massive amounts of time and space rifts and entered the portal with the monsters.
                     It was midnight,the town was quiet.Everyone should be sleeping in their comfy beds in peace by now.Suddenly a boy from a tiny house woke up because of some loud noises,he rubbed his eyes and saw a portal near the window.He reached for the portal due to curiosity.And outside the window,a person was standing on the tree on the house's lawn.It was N.Ergy.He was counting...

                      "...6...5...4...3...2...1..."

                      "Here it comes..."

                       A mutant jumped out from the portal.sending the child in shock.The town was thrown into instant hell.Rifts opened anywhere in the town,mutants came out and terrorizing the whole neighborhood.Fire was every where,Mutants attacking the townspeople from their own houses.All hell broke loose.Jeff was still sleeping in his room until he heard someone screaming bloody murder out the window.He woke up and saw major catastrophe waiting at the door.A battler crashed through the window trying to grab Jeff away,Jeff quick dodge rolls towards his chainsaw but his feet was grabbed by the battler.The battler was about to commence attack until...

                        *Rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat*

                        The battler fell down,lifeless and Jeff was free from it's grasp."Nobody messes with my fruits."Jeff:"Never thought I'd be enjoying the melodious sound of a machine gun."Dingo:"Get up,we've got work to do."Said Dingo,dressed like a rambo.They were running down the streets,encountering mutants everywhere. Raticicles,Magmadons,Slimes,you name it!They were cornered.They stand in a back-to-back position.Jeff:"Well,we've got a chainsaw,a few axes,Machine guns,shotgun and a few grenades."Dingo:"Sounds like a plan."They engaged all the mutants in battle.Dingo rapid fires his machine guns:"YAAAAAAAH!!!!!!DIE BASTARDS!"Jeff was overwhelmed by Dingo's abilities and decided to show a few of his own.He threw a ax towards his foes.Finally the mutants retreated.But all the townspeople are missing.Jeff:"Where could they be?"Dingo:"Hmm...let's pick...this place."He points his finger to a building.Jeff:"The burger shop?"Dingo:"Well the lights are on,there should be people."
                         Then the two remaining townspeople entered the building.Jeff:"That's not right."Dingo:"yeah,no service."Jeff:"No,not that!The place is too clean!"Dingo:"Well,let's find whatever is here."Then they ransacked the cupboards,the cash register and anything else concealed.Jeff:"Hey,let's try the kitchen."Dingo agrees and opens the door.They saw mutants gathering there.Jeff slams the door and threw everything to barricade the door.Dingo sweeps off his sweat.Jeff:"Didn't see that coming."Then they check out the refrigerator.Dingo blocks Jeff:"How do we know if there's another surprise coming?"Jeff:"It's a refrigerator,a monster couldn't fit here."Dingo:"Yeah,but they usually put those IN the kitchen."Jeff:"Well,you got a lot of ammo here."Dingo aims at the fridge while Jeff reaches for the door.

                         *Shoonk* *blat*

                          A frozen body falls out from the fridge,after a close look they saw it was Zero.Jeff:"Oh my god,they killed Zero!"Dingo:"Those bastards!"Jeff:"Oh wait,he lives."Dingo checks Zero's breathing.It was weak,they need something to warm him up.Dingo picks up his flamethrower.Jeff:"Are you trying to save him or make Kentucky Fried Bandicoot?"So they did the next best thing.After a while,Zero defrosts and asks for water.Zero:"WATER!HELP!WATER!H2O!GATORADE!ANY COOLING LIQUID!"Jeff splashes Zero with the hose.Zero calms down.Zero:"WHAT WAS THAT!?"Dingo:"Nothing like a bowl of my homemade curry.I got all kinds of spices here!"Zero:"Man,I fainted so many times I lost count!"Then the gang tells Zero the situation.Zero:"The blue guy was in command!Must be the infamous N.Trophy I heard so much about..."Dingo:"So Cortex is staging up an attack again..."Zero:"So how did the townspeople disappear?"Jeff:"The mutants grabbed em'!"Zero:"How come you're still here?"Jeff:"I don't know?"Zero then tries to connect every clue he can think of:People disappearing,mutant attacks,Restaurant as base...

                         Jeff:"I'm hungry,let's eat."Dingo:"Curry?"Jeff:"Heck no!I grabbed a burger from that restaurant!I'll eat it."

                          Zero:"Burger...?"Zero remembers something.He picked up the note in his pocket.The one N.Ergy left behind...

                          "Bad burger

                            Trust me."

                          Zero figures something!He looks at Jeff trying to eat the burger!He slaps the burger off his hand.Jeff:"Ow!I can share,y'know?"Dingo:"Look at that!"The burger starts to wiggle.It grew arms and legs and a Magmadon was formed!Jeff points at it:"I tried to eat...THAT?"Luckily Zero was able to subdue the monster.Zero:"So that's how the townspeople disappeared!Everyone in town bought the burgers!"Dingo:"What happens if someone really eats it?"Zero:"Ergy did...why?"He suddenly remembered the mysterious substance he put on his food.It must have neutralized the effect.But the effect of what exactly?Zero:"Why didn't you 2 eat?"Jeff:"I'm on a diet."Dingo:"I'm vegetarian."They needed to find answers.They discussed where to go after this.Zero:"They deserted the restaurant base.Where could they have been?"Dingo:"Man,I gotta go,I'm heading to the forest.Jeff:"That's it!The forest!"Dingo:"You wanna pee too?"Zero:"Of course,they gather in there!They have to make the base nearby to continue with this operation."
                          So they venture deep into the forest.Finding any entrance possible.And then they stumbled across a weird tree that shapes like the letter"N".Jeff looks in awe:"Is it me or do I smell a trap?"Zero:"We should expect traps,it's the enemy base."Jeff sits on the rock nearby to rest.Suddenly the tree glowed.Zero and the gang gets cautious. Tree:"Password." Zero:"Uh...Cortex?"Tree:"Incorrect.Prepare to be annihilated."A laser shows up and begins to charge.Dingo tries to shoot it down,but it was more solid than he thought.The laser shot towards Dingo.The ground exploded and Dingo was sent rolling.The bowl of curry he carried earlier was rolled out of his backpack.The curry was spilled towards the rock Jeff was sitting on.The rock dissolved into the curry,which give him the idea.He took the leftover bowl of curry and ate it!The laser was aiming at Zero.Tree:"Die."The laser was fired and Zero opened his mouth!A massive chunk of flame was launched from Zero's mouth,the trees and the laser weapon was decimated by the concentrated fire power!Zero then faints again...
Jeff:"Talk about hot stuff!"Even the ground crumbled into dust and revealed doorway.
                          They tried to knock the door,checking how hard it is.Jeff was electrocuted when he did that.It must be heavily protected.Jeff:"S-shocking experience..."Dingo uses his shotgun and fired at it.but it didn't even leave a scratch.Jeff:"Any bright ideas?"Zero wakes up.Dingo looked at the puddle of leftover curry that melted the rock.He took a handful and forcefully fed it to Zero,Zero unleashed another blazing stream of flames and melted down the door.Zero puffs out a smoke and fainted again.
                          They entered the place,while Jeff holds Zero on his back.They entered a room and bumped to something.It was a mutant!And then they discover the room is full of mutants!Jeff:"Back away...slowly..."They backed out of the room.Dingo rolled a grenade into the room before they closed the door.A loud bang occurred.Jeff:"DON'T-EVER-DO-THAT-AGAIN."They soon enter another room.There was pods everywhere.Everyone in town is in that room!they look like they're sleeping in the pods.While they try to figure out how to save the townspeople,someone was standing behind them.They were zapped unconscious.
                          When they woke up,they were trapped in a white room and binded by some sort of cuffs.Zero was put in some kind of containment cube outside the see through wall.Cortex walks towards them.Cortex:"Well,well,guess who's back?"Jeff:"Jerk."Dingo:"bastard."Trophy:"I agree."Trophy teleports to the scene.Cortex:"Stop it!I really look cool this time! Dingo:*coughcoughcoughnotcough*Jeff:"Care to tell us about your big game plan?"Cortex:"I thought you never ask!"
                         He shows off pictures on the board:"1st,i open a new fast-food restaurant on the block,then I shrink down the mutants and make them as the form of our products!N.Trophy acts mean in front of the customers to make them order takeaways,then the monster will reveal itself once it reaches a concealed building!I activate the monsters using this remote right here so I can make sure they don't eat it."Jeff:"What happens if someone does eat it?"Cortex:"Unfortunately someone did,I don't know if I can call it good or bad..."

                        Zero:"So...it's all my fault?

                        Jeff:"Zero,you're awake!"Zero:"I sold all the burgers to the townspeople...it's my fault."Cortex:"Oh,yes!This is sweet!Now I can rule the world!"Zero felt bad all over again,blaming everything to himself...He was drowning himself in despair.Being his emo self again.Voice:"Come on,you know it's not your fault!"Zero:"It is..."Voice:"You know that's not true!"Zero:"But I sold all those..."Voice:"Don't give up!Everyone messes up in their life sometimes!"Zero:"But I..."Voice:"Well,then,let's make a promise!"Zero:"A...promise...?"Voice:"Yep.So whenever you mess up,I'll be with ya,just don't give up,'kay?" Zero:"I..." Voice:"Hey,you still wanna find me,do ya?"Zero:"Uh-huh."Voice:"Press it on,you'll find me,someday..."The voice fades away.Zero:"I don't care if that was some sort of illusion.I made my promise..."Zero breaks out of the barrier with a huge burst of energy.Dingo:"YOU GO KID!WOOHOO!"Cortex:"Sigh,I'll just have to do this."He clicks his remote and a door opened.Three shadow emerges.Cortex:"Remember when I mentioned certain people ate the products we sold?Coincidentally,there's three,guess who?
                          Zero:"No!"The three bandicoots arrived.They were mutated by the burgers they ate!They all went on a rampage!Zero:"I just got through a problem and now this?"Coco flies up the air with huge wings and launched a few tornadoes towards Zero,Zero was blown away by Coco's enhanced abilities!Cortex:"Hmm,B.Fries for Battler,who would've guess?"Crunch raises his arm and crushes the ground with enormous strength and created lava flows that burned Zero's skins.Zero:"AHH!"Cortex:"Magmadons.get them while they're hot!"Crash appeared in front of Zero.Zero:"N-no!"Crash punched the floor and ice spikes thrust through Zero's chest!Blood was spilled to the floor.Zero:"N-no,I can't hurt m-my family."Zero starts to freeze.His feet became frozen solid due to the subzero temperature.Zero:"N-no!What can I do?"

                         "...Use...me..."

                         Zero:"Who is this?you're not Hip..."Darkness:"I'm your best friend....use...my...power...and destroy all your foes!"Zero:"NO!I'll just hurt my family!"Darkness:"Who...cares...as long you can save your life...use...me..."Zero:"NO!"Darkness:"Child!We both die if you don't do it!"Zero:"I need a different source of power!"Darkness:"I'M YOUR POWER!YOU'RE NOTHING WITHOUT ME!"Zero:"You're... nothing too... if I...don't use you!"Darkness:"IGNORANT FOOL!I'LL DEAL WITH IT MYSELF!"Darkness starts to cover Zero as the ice reaches his waist.Zero:"NO!I won't use it!"Darkness:"Fool,you cannot resist me!I'm powerful than you!"
                         Zero falls into the depth of darkness due to too much loss of blood.Zero:"This ends here...?"Zero:"I can't let them down...I just made a promise..." "I won't..." "I WON'T GIVE IN!"Suddenly a bright light shines in the dark.Zero:"What is this?"???:"HELLO?YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE ME?What a wimp."Zero:"What the-"???:"It's me,your light?"Zero:"My...light?How did you exist?"Light:"Seems like I was born because of the promise you made with him."Zero:"The promise gave me light..."Light:"I'm no ordinary light!I'll kick any butt that'll harm ya!"Zero:"Okay,light...what now?"Light:"Merge with me,with the power of light,you can do anything!"Zero:"Okay..."Zero walks into the light.
                        Cortex dances happily while Jeff and Dingo felt despair.Suddenly the iced Zero shone in bright light,the ice shattered!Zero was bathed in light,full of power.His wounds was healed completely.Cortex:"GAH!Attack!"The bandicoots attacked Zero.Zero:"What do I do now?"Light:"How should I know?You control the body!"Light:"If you want auto-pilot,fine!"The light took control of Zero's body,switching Zero to the sub-conscious mind.Zero:"Don't hurt em'!"Light:"Okay,Mr.hero!"When Coco attacked he blocked it successfully!Light:"I certainly won't hurt you,sweetlips!"Coco:*SNAAARL*Light:"Ooh,feisty little thing!"Zero:"Are you sure you're my light?"He touched Coco's forehead and Coco fell down unconscious.Zero:"What the hell did you do?"Light:"Don't worry,shes just taking a nap.Crash and Crunch jumps towards Light,but the light covered their bodies and fell down asleep.Light walks towards Cortex:"Mind if I kick your can?"Cortex:"TROPHY!HELP!"Trophy:"No."Cortex:"You're betraying me?"Trophy:"Nah,I know I can't beat him."Light:"Smart move,now leave!"Trophy:"Alright,signing off."Trophy opens a portal and leaves through it."
                       Then they left the place and blew it up,and kicked Cortex's butt back to the ice lab.They freed all the people trapped in the secret base.And left all to deal with is turning Zero's family...Light:"Uh...now what?"Said Light,towards the bandicoots tied up.Zero:"I'd like to control my own body now,please?"Light:"Hey,it's your body,you don't have to ask me."Zero's light fade away and he gains control of his own body again.Light:"I'm gonna sleep again,don't wake me if you don't got business."Zero:"Are you really my light?!"
                       Suddenly someone appears on his back.It was N.Ergy!Zero:"What do you want?"Ergy:"Congrats!You've found your light,you can have your packet now!"Ergy:"What's wrong,champ?"Zero:"I'd like the green potion you carry,please..."Ergy:"Hmm?"Zero:"My family...I want that antidote..."Ergy:"Oh.But you'll have to train harder if you want to see your packet again,you are cool with that?"Zero:"Yes."Ergy:"Wise choice."He handed over the potion and disappeared.Zero immediately fed them the green liquid,they've quickly gained back their own forms.Crash:"WOW!"Crunch:"Whoa,what just happened..."Coco:"My head...Zero:"Long story,tell you in the way home."
                        On the second day,the gang came to town,helping the others to repair the town,the hole on Zero's attic was fixed because the price of wood are back to normal,since there's no more mutants bothering them.Zero looks at the bright sky.Zero:"I will keep my promise..."Suddenly,Crunch came to Zero's side:"Y'know,the antidote you gave us tasted like..."
                         Meanwhile in the mountains of N.Sanity island,N.Ergy rests and lies on the ground.
                         "Man,he would kill me if he knew the antidote was actually apple juice."

                         "But,It would be interesting to see him progressing through his journey,ah well."


                    Will Zero ever get back the packet?
                    How would he reacted if he knew he traded the packet for apple juice?
                    What adventures lie ahead?
